Our Adopt -A Unit
Project has been very successful so far. We have
send out 20 boxes of personal items for the troops in
mid October 2003. There were ten members from
our Post and Auxiliary that boxed all the items.
It took a total of three hours. With help from
the National Guard in Rosemount, they were shipped by
military aircraft. Christmas trees were also sent to
the soldiers in Afghanistan.
On November 2, 2003 over 1,000 cookies were baked,
bagged and boxed by twelve sisters and comrades, and
two special helpers.
Net proceeds form the January 11,
2004 Pancake Breakfast was donated to the National
Guard Family Center in honor of the 34th MP Company,
our adopt-a-unit.
